I recently found out from the response with your readers that I have a 1946 - 2N. I would like to convert it to 12 volt. There is a kit on the web to do this. I am wondering what the process is and the pit falls in doing this. How will the starter and coil react to 12 volts. Thanks to the readers who responded to my question about the year and serial number confusion.

Why do you want to convert to twelve volts?

Not be a hard nose, but another feature of this fine board is its archieves. Look at the top of these posted questions and you will see a connection to the archieves. Once there look in the same area again for "Keyword search" . Use it and search for this topic use something like "12 volt conversion". I think you will be amazed at the wealth of Q and A at your 'point and click'.

Good Luck, JJ
