Attached here is the latest "corrected" version of my flowchart for troubleshooting the no-start for an 8N side-mount distributor with a 6 volt system and one that DOES crank.
Again, many thanks for all of you suggestions.
The chart is getting quite "cluttered" and there could certainly be some cosmetic concerns.
Some flow charts work in a different manner, but I kind of like everything at a glance here.
Many of the frequent posters on the discussion board have not offered any suggestions yet. I would love to hear from you all.
Thanks again, and please offer any and all suggestions!
Tom

This is wonderful. I have two questions:

1) Will this be posted on the site? I keep printing out the revisions in fear that I'll miss out on the finished version. I'd like to have easy access to that final chart.
2) Are you planning to make modifications for other configurations? I have a hunch they would be relatively close and require minor edits. I can assure you that they would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for this great group effort.

Bill...in answer to your question about other configurations...I'm not sure. I have a 52 side-mount. As you say, could be done quite nicely. Thanks. Tom

Thanks for your kind comments, Bill! Yes, hopefully we can post it as a link or whatever works - on this site. I just want to go through enough work to make it good. Of course, in the future, it can be updated. Thanks, again.
Tom

That's a really neat flowchart! I am going to print out a copy of that. You must come from a background using these types of charts on a regular basis? I'm going through a no start situation right now with my '48 front mount distributor.

Thanks,
Scott

Thank you, Scott. I, too, am going through a no-start STILL. I had hoped that this kind of chart could help many of us! Tom
