I need some help with determining the value of a planter
I found a red and white 3pt planter that fits on a 8/9N.
It is complete with fertilizer boxes and seed boxes and has been stored inside. The unit looks almost new.
What is a planter like this worth?

I purchased a blue ford planter with one ate up fertilizer box the other was good and the seed boxes was good for $450 two years ago... however I just seen two sold at auction one red one blue in the past two months the blue one went for $600 it was very simular to mine and needed the fertilizer boxes worked on, the red one went for $850 but the red one was in perfect condition, it was trailer queen material for sure...

Pricing for these things is all over the board. I see used but good condition JD 2 row planters going for up to $700-$800 sometimes.

I saw a Massey Ferguson 3 point 2 row planter in 'rough' condition sell for $400 at an auction last summer.

I bought a 'pull type' IH 2 row planter (in good shape, with plates) myself for $100 a couple years ago. It works good for the sweet corn I plant.

There is no rhyme or reason to it other than some sellers are more motivated to sell than others and some buyers really want to buy more than others. Then you make a deal accordingly.
