I have an intake manifold that will require 3" long studs to mount it. I do not want to switch to bolts and the longest studs I can find around here are 2 1/2" long which will not do. My motor has head bolts and I don"t remember what size they were but I think they were 7/16 x 14. Is that correct. I notice donb has headstuds that are 3" long. Are these 7/16 x 14; 7/16 x 20 threads? Thanks for the help.

Pop: I just went thru this myself. My 8N has a Tisco manifold that was made in the 60's. I think mine are about 3 1/4" overall. My local Napa can order them. The coarse threads are 7/16 -14 and thread into the block about 3/4". The other end is 7/16-20 fine thread, to match the brass nuts that were originally used. Just call NAPA and give them the dimensions of your studs, overall length and length of each threads, and they should be able to order. I think they are about $3. each.

Yes, Don't studs are 7/16" standard course threads just like every stud in the Ford tractor is.

Have you tried McMaster.com?

Also, a REAL auto supply store that has a parts line such as Dorman will have a catalog with a section on automotive studs.

Also, for high-quality studs, check with ARP, to see if the have them in the size and style you need.
