I was looking through the set of decals and noticed that the air cleaner decal reads, "SEVICE BODY MONTHLY" I know I've been spending too much time in this forum cuz my first thought was Hobo must print these up ;)

Southpaw....yes that is a mis-print on the decal, probably a 1000 of them, but they weren't made overseas. These were made in Georgia, and no reflection on the "crackers".If you got it from me.....call me and I'll send you a correct decal.Sorry for the QA problem. don b

No worries Don. I only intended to use the Ford script and just stick the rest of them in the manual for the next fella to use.

Yes I was poking fun. But in a kind way! Folks like Hobo, Dell and lots of others post some excellent advice here. I just have to read it a half dozen times to figure out what they're saying.

And its not because they're dumb crackers. No they're irritatingly smart crackers!

I've got a cousin like that. Dropped out of high school, I suspect because he was bored, definitely has more than his fair share of gray matter.

But he has this manner when talking to someone who is more educated. He will asking seemingly innocent 'dumb' questions. In a short period of time the other person realizes they've talked themselves into a corner.

This is the Socratic method named after Socrates who was possibly the most brilliant scholar of his time. Note that his contemporaries tired of the Socratic method and poked some poisonous hemlock down his throat.

Is it, "There, English isn't so good"? Or is it, "Their English isn't so good"?

How about:

"They're spelling their English badly there."

Roger in MIchigan

(But i did spend enough time in England to know how to speak English.)

That's not the only one going around. I ordered a repro Sherman Combination transmission steering wheel data plate for my 8N. When I received it, I noticed that in three places they spelled "gears" as "clears". DUH!
