Just bought a Deerborn loader but can't find much info on what I need to do to adapt the front engine pulley to fit the pump shaft. I've seen four bolt pulley's advertised but where can I find the u joint and mount?

Before you install that loader make sure the rest of the tractor is in tip top shape. I have a Wagner WM-4 loader on my 8N and I had to get everything up to snuff before the loader went on.

By this I mean:

1 The Brakes. If you think your tractor is hard to stop now, try it with a bucket full of dirt!

2. The axles. Make sure your front axles are in good shape and do not have any cracks. Check the bearings while your at it.

3. Tires & Rims - install wider front tires & Rims than the original ones. Fill the rear tires with calcium or ad wheel weights. The added weight to the front of the tractor really lightens up the back. This equates to no traction.

4. Axle Pin - You already took care of it.

Hope this helps.

I just put a Dearborn loader on mine scroll down a little to see the pictures.
Here is what I did
I tore the front end off and put in new axle pin, bushing, all new bolts, new cap, rotor,
painted up everything. New pully, and adapter.
Had to grind a little on the loader mount as it hit the petcock.
Bought all new fender bolts, loader bolts all grade 8.
bought 16" rims to replace 19"
still need tires and tubes.
What model loader do you have
mine is a Dearborn 19-71 industrial loader.
send me an e-mail and I will send a link to manuals.

keep it simply get a ford tractor dealer on dearborn loader i have the same loader tell you stright out it one of one that has no manual on but part are easy to get for it. if old tractor didn't have it on your. you have get a new one new setup pully on your tractor you have to buy a new one which could run from $40.00 up to $100.00 my came with it but we put a new drive couping on it which was $16.00 but the rubber that fit in the pully with the four steel pin not bolt the bolt that what wear out the rubber a lot faster you have replace them alot.
i use 5/16 fuel line they last long them but if you hear metal bang the rubber got to be replace real soon are bent over and quit working .. good luck have fun and be safe like my laoder but make to much work for me always doing something with it 8n loader

Never heard of a U-joint set up but they make a spline shaft set up and most good tractor places will have the parts but you also need the right crank shaft pulley for it
