My hybred 8/2N has a leak at the left 3 point pin below the axle. The rear appears to be a '44 2N. The pin spins and wobbles in the axle housing so I can't get the castellated nut off. I got the retainer bolt out but the pin doesn't seem to pull out. How do I get it apart and stop the leak?

I replaced one last month. New 9N part from New Holland $65 and 2 weeks to arrive(no nut included) Once you realize you must remove the axle and trumpet to get to it (belive the guys when they say it), it goes very easy. I used JB Weld when I put it back together even though there was only a slight wobble. Once replaced its as good as new. 2 cold ones (adult or non-adult your choice) and you will be glad you did.

Don't understand when you say you can't get the castle nut off. You have to pull the axle and then take off the axle trumpet to get to the castle nut. If you've done that the castle nut has a cotter pin thru it. if the pin hole is all wallowed out, get some JB weld to repair it. My $.02

Mine has a nut on the outside that keeps the 3 point lower arm from sliding off the pin. This nut is stuck to the pin (the cotter pin is out). Sounds like I will need to pull the axle casting with the lower 3 point arm still attached. Thanks.

Yup! Mine was the same way. Once you get to the inside and pull the internal nut, a big old pipe wrench will hold the old pin while you remove the outer nut.
