I have this left lit rod on my 2N that is bent. It's got a nice curve to it. Probably happened when someone backed into something. I would like to straighten it out. Should I heat it up and straighten it or will it loose it's temper or something and get weak? Thanks.

I have straightned bent radius rods with the following method and don't see why it wouldn't do the job on lift arms:

Get a railroad tie, get a couple of four by four blocks, get a come along or a chain hoist, use the four by fours to hold the strain off the ends, wrap the chain/wire rope around the bent item and the tie--pull it back straight keeping well out of the line of fire should something give way

Your mileage may vary

I prefer to straighten radius rods off of the tractor in a 25T press. Correct support blocks used of course....DaBrow.
