Heard geese coming in last night (Katy, TX). They were riding the cold front and flying low and ragged. First time this year. Kinda early. Usually don't hear them here till mid November. Is this a sign of a hard winter coming?

Leaves up in eastern OK were absolutely beautiful last couple of weeks. Most color I've seen up there in a long time.

That one belongs on a card or calander!
Kinda rustic or vintage feel to it.

Nice pic!

Thanks for the kind words, Dewey! You are right about the split and dried Oak. Matter of fact, Mother Nature dropped an Oak for me to cut up in last nights high winds. It was a big 'ole Oak, unfortunately, it's root ball was on a pile of rocks along a old spring bed. More firewood! Meanwhile, here's a picture of a nice fire heating the house.
