Please Help me... I'm new to the 8N world. My 8N seems to have lost power I'm working on 2 acre piece of ground plowing, discing and hauling rock out. Yesterday it started blowing water out the radiator cap. Today there is a noticeable loss of power with a small puff of white smoke out tailpipe when started. I recently replaced the exhaust manifold as old one was broken. Don't really known what the problem is but I'm thinking headgasket..

Check oil fro water and water for oil.

If you did pop a headgasket you may be venting combustion gasses into the radiator.. dumping the water out.

Also.. the studs for the e-manifold are wet AFAIK.

investigate and post results back.

By the way souNdguy thank's for your reply. The bolt that was oily was head bolt #16

Drained radiator and oil pan. No oil in water but oil looked like chocolate milk. Pulled Head had large blow out between 1 and 2. I have another question. One head bolt was very oily when I pulled the head. Is this a sign of cracked block???

Some head bolts are blind.. some are not.

If you didn't see oil in the water, and you had good oil pressure, then i wouldn't think too much about a greasy headbolt. If it really bothers you.. put some thread pucky on it when you reinsert it.

OK not a problem. Oil pressure was fine. I bought new head bolt's today at the local New Holland Dealer. I should get it back together tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes. Thank's again for your help.
