My Mom just told me about an auction in my hometown of Anna, IL. It looks like he there are some nice tractors for sale. The former owner died in a tractor accident.

I think your dad and mom used to live right next to our farm. I'm not sure if yuo were around at that time tho, but I'm sure you were. Small world huh?

Hello there I'm from S IL. also and the auction is right across the road from my house. The man was a horse lover. He loved his Belguin work horses like they were his kids. He was also a wonderful man that had worked with tractors and heavy equipment his whole life. Take my word for it, accidents can happen to anyone.

I didn't know Everett Ury but that was a sad story indeed. There was just another tractor related death near me in Reedsburg, WI over the weekend.

Anyhow, it is good to hear of someone else on this board from Anna. I graudated from A-J in '83 and moved away the same year. I don't think I could take that heat and humidity in Southern IL any more. I was down there last weekend because my daughter wanted to tour SIU and I was surprised to see how many wineries there are now in the area. There was not one when I was a kid. It is a shame to see the old Rodgers Theater knocked down, as well as the old Walter Hardware building and my my Dad's old barber shop, which has been gone a while now. Anyway, fall is the best time to go down there. I was surprised to see that your leaves still have some color.

Thanks for the "heads up," Paul. But a sad way for a tractor to come up for auction.
A little far for me. Besides, the part about "horse drawn equipment" doesn't say much for the engine, does it? :o(
