Hello all! Thinking of purchasing a 1953 Jubliee, BUT! Here is what the man told me" the tractor is still 6volt but I run 12volt battery have been that way about a year starts a little faster" I am wondering if doing this has damaged any thing on the tractor. Want to keep 6volt original. Thanks.

Probably a little hard on the coil, points and lights, but nothing real expensive to fix if those items do burn out.

I wonder if he was forced to do that because of weak engine that would not start at slower cranking speed due to low compression?
