A glamour shot of my 8N in front of my barn. I took advantage of Indian Summer last week to get some bush-hoggin' and maintenance done.

Good looking tractor. What year is that VW truck I had a 63 I paid $165 for, man I dorve the weels off that thing. I sold it to a buddy that took it down the interstate, he got tired a let his friend drive and he went to sleep in the back. Well his friend missed his turn and thought he could do a U turn when he hit the center it laid over on its side. My buddy said he woke up like superman flying thru the air still holding on to his Levi jacket. He only got a little road rash out of it, and another guy stoped to help them and the three of them picked it back up and he drove it on home.
Let me know if you ever want to get rid of it. I would love to see the look on his face just to drive up to his house with it.
Thanks Marty

I forgot to mention, the truck is a late '55. Says '56 on the title. Hannover truck plant wasn't built til '56 so it was most likely assembled in WOB.

That truck is too useful to ever part with it. I thought about selling it a couple of years ago and the wife objected. This is the same wife who complains about how much I spend on toys, how many old cars I have, etc., etc., nag, nag. She was so happy when I sold my mint '56 Packard but likes that ratty old pickup for some reason.

Anyhow, that was a great story. Where in IL are you located?

Mine was sure handy too. The sides folded down to make a flat bed was easy to load, and was suprized at how much you could put on it. I live in Wood River IL (near Alton). The tractors are at farm near Carlinville IL. How about you.
Thanks Marty
