Tim, I was as concerned as Jim was. Horses are great, but how could a guy part with his N?

I have been following the thread on this "trade" offer---the seller says they feel they can get more work out of horses than the tractor because of the lay of the land on their property----they did get an email asking what they would sell the tractor and imps for and they want $5000---I have no idea what those horses are worth???? I wouldn't trade my 8N tractor for a horse even if I was farming on Mt. Kilimanjaro!!!

Whew!! When I opened your post, I thought YOU were looking to trade YOUR tractor FOR horses. I think the guy's got it backwards. Horses FOR tractors is the only way that trade would work on OUR place!!

You've got that right!!!----I was hoping the owner might be an Amish farmer that owned the tractor as part of a farm purchase. The owner actually will sell the N and the imps. for $5000---must be a nice one!!!
