THANK YOU TO ALL for the help given to me over the past few months about Brakes, Seals, etc. Finally got the job started/done the week of Thanksgiving. Previous owner said he had put on Brand New Brakes--unfortunately he should have put on new seals/hubs as one side leaked all over the new brakes. Anyway, my 8N now has new seals, hubs and brakes.
I could not justify replacing the "new brakes" that were not saturated with hydro fluid as I only have 50 hours of use on them, so I have 2 XTRA new brakes. If anyone reading this needs them, email me. Is $20 including shipping reasonable? Let me know ----Tim

Mine does too folks!!

Plus new lower lift pins.

My thanks also!!

Yep I do like this place, even when I keep my mouth shut. (sober)

For the first time in 25 years my tractor has brakes, that is unreal.

I am having a hard time getting used to that!!

I totally forgit to use them, then lightening finally strikes, and I say, uh, you do have brakes now you know.

The local tractor rep, who I'm unhappy with, good Christian people, and he sold me a Dexta 2000 with a fine paint job, swore up and down that they had just rebuilt it, I took it on his word... It was wore slap out, and it cost me $200 to make him take it back, buyer beware no matter what they tell you or who they are.

Oh, yeah back to the rep...

He told me for years, you won't ever get that 48 8N to stop leaking on the brakes (he never told me I could get new hubs for $45).

Well, I guess I have yet to prove him wrong, but I ain't dead yet!!

And now I have the Internet!!

And now tractor folks are even on it!!

Here yall have one on me!!!

I take that as compliment!!

If I wasn't crazy, there is no doubt I would go insane.

Err, here is yer tea, would you like some lemon, or something to chase it with? Whiskey Sir?

Umm, oh, yeah, I keep these folks on their toes figgerin me out, and straightening me out....

There are some amazingly smart folks here!

I really enjoy taking in the knowhow they have.

I do try hard to behave.

I had to ban myself there for a while Thanksgiving.
