I bought a set of segmented weights from a guy with
a Ford tractor for my Oliver 55 thinking they would work. Short story, they won't. He said they came off a 660 but I was wondering if there's only one type of mounting plate or is there a larger one and smaller one depending on if the tractor is a 8n/jubilee/600 vs a larger tractor like say a 800-3000 series ford?
Thanks Ross

Ross,
They made 3 different sizes of those weights.
One is 30 lbs/section one is 45lbs.
The plates that they bolt on to are pretty much the same animal. The 30 lb plate uses 4 bolts where it bolts up to the wheel and the 45 lb plate uses 8.
I think they pretty much the same animal otherwise in the way they attach to the tractor and attach the individual weights.
The 3rd set of weights were made for the industrial models with the 24" wheels. I haven't seen a set but I assume they are all about the same.
I think that unless your Oliver has the same bolt pattern as these Fords you wont get them to fit without a lot of cobbling.
You should be able to sell your set pretty easily as they are always in demand.
I need a set of the 24" ind. size myself or some kind of weights for 24" wheels.
