Can I install an icemaker from a european fridge into my american made one or will the little guy inside the fridge stop turning on the light when I open the door if I make the swap?

That little dude is slick, never have caught him in there! He don't even leave tracks in the jello traps I put in there...

I went with the colored lights this year.

AND.. What is up with the new lights they sell now?? On the package it says they are only good for 90 hrs. Can I put a resistor in the line somewhere???
