A week ago I posted a set of compression readings indicating #2 & #3 were nearly equally weak on the dry reading. Dell recommended changing the head gasket to correct a leak between those 2 cylinders. Took it out tonight and it runs a lot better. I won't say it is 100% factory power but at least it is better.

It may need a engine rebuild yet, I remember it having more power 45 years ago when Dad first brought it home. But then that's not surprising.

Thanks, Dell for your help!

Ray..... .ya gonna 'barrass me 'gin....

ya know, the great big river that ran thru the back of the home place 45 yrs ago is now just 'nutter crick. Age does something with memories. (grin)

Now that you've got a new headgasket on, what about taking another set of dry and wet compression readings?..... .Dell
