I know most of you use your tractors more than I do, but I thought I would ask this anyway. Since my mowing season is over and we don"t get much snow to blade off the driveway I plan on decorating my 8N with lights in the front yard. Any of you folks do this? I really wanted some "chasing" lights which would make it appear the wheels are turning but I could not find any. Oh, well, just thought I"d see what ya thought about the idea.

I did that once with my MF35. Put lights on it, and put a big wreath on the grille. I thought it looked nice.

People kept asking if it was for sale - They didn't seem to get that it was just a decoration.

My 8n is not a show piece. Hood has cancer/rust, as does the fenders. I have slapped some paint on it to make it look better but it should have new sheet metal. Anyway, I was at the auto parts store a few years ago and all the fancy little lights for tricking out rice rockets were on clearance. So I bought a bunch of them for $20.00. I have red and green bullet lights on both sides of the hood and purple "under body" on the back of the fenders and a bright red halogen back up light straight rear ward under the seat. It may be a POS during the day, but at night, it is ready to go head to head with any pimp mobile.

(If only I could figure where to hang the fuzzy dice.)

I was just thinking of the same subject last week and I decided that as soon as I decide to decorate it then we will get a big snow and I will need the tractor to plow. I guess it gives me an excuse to get another tractor. This warm weather really has me bummed out. I don't think we are getting a white Christmas this year. Without snow, it might as well be Easter. :(

Anyhow, I wanted to make a fake sleigh to hook up the tractor to it, with Rudolph driving and Santa in tow. Maybe one of you retired guys will have time to try it. I am too busy.

Put a spot light to light up the tractor and house.Lookers stop and take pic.of it.One of my "Ns" has the saw mounted and I take it to the local tractor show and place it next to our clubs "real" sawmill.Nice conversation peice.I do Njoy these "Ns".

I think it was SouNdguy who posted his tractor with the huge saw blade on back. I wanted that thing in my front yard for my Holoween party. I wonder how he made out with the restoration of that critter? I like your light idea.
