My fluid is a little milky and want to change. I am going to drain all 3 compartments. Should I use diesel fuel or kerosine? Any other cleaning options or solvents, possibly non flammable? Five gallons for flushing? Run time with flushing? Thanks for your help, Paul

I agree with bj!!!! If you have sediments (dirt, metal stuff, etc.) on the bottom of the cases, then when you put your "solvent" in the case and run the machinery to move it all into solution, so you can drain it out the three plug. YOU HAVE ALSO RUN THIS SEDIMENT UP THRU YOUR HYDRAULIC PUMP, CYLINDER, AND VALVES; THE REAR END GEARS AND BEARINGS; AND THE TRANNY GEARS AND BEARINGS. These are the items you want to protect. It does not make any sense to deliberately "lube" these parts with -)@($($*#^@!!!!! This short cut to cleaning out your hydr system is a short cut to new, bigger problems

Your choice, Jim

If your hydralics otherwise work OK I wouldn't run any solvent. The water likely got in through the shift tower gromet which is a three dollar part at New Holland or most anywhere else that sells N series parts. If you want to get the crud out I would pull the pto shaft--four bolts one beer finagle--and run my arm in to get the crud off the bottom. There is a dam you can reach over to get to the transmission. If you get good at this you can find work A I ing cattle.
