"Seafoam" is a trade name for "Spounge Taffy". A type of candy that is made by foaming liquid brown sugar. It is hard and crunchy. I think you will have a sticky mess. Isn"t this forum amazing! Some of the things you learn! Just make sure you buy the right stuff.

i have great results with mmo when used in fuel and oil as directed on bottle. much cheaper, and before you spend all your money on carbs-plugs-wireing-tune-ups etc. try it ,you will be surprised. i will not be without it. RP

I'm a believer in SeaFoam. I bought a used ATV for my wife that idled all over the place, would bog down, and just generally ran like crap. I did the decarboning process with the SeaFoam and then ran it with heavy doses of SeaFoam in it for a couple of tanks. It runs like a champ now!

I also have a very lightly driven 1969 GTO that had similar problems. I'm on my second tank of fuel with SeaFoam and it is improving.

Everything I own that has a gas engine gets dosed with the stuff now if for no other reason than as a gas stabilizer (StaBil doesn't seem to work for me except in my 2 stroke premix gas).

I'm a believer. That's not to say other products wouldn't have worked, but I know this one does.

It will also keep stored gas from going bad.

Other additives might have done the same thing but on several occasions I have been at the point of tearing down small engine carbs but instead I added Seafoam and did not have to tear them down. It apparently removed the blockage.JMPE

Only recently used to clean carburetors. Looks like weak solution to me. Gumout can be observed working and dissolving crud. Keep asking I want other opinions, too.

I always wondered how they picked that name? in reply to dave guest, 01-05-2007 20:26:52
"Seafoam" just doesn't sound like something that would clean a fuel system, of course, "Gunk" doesn't, either!

I have a buddy that brags how good seafoam actally is. - heard about it for years and years now. I finally bought some to shut him up. So I tried some seafoam the other day in my old plow truck. It actually made it run noticably better after 5 min of driving it.

It must sorta work atleast.
