This is what I found when I removed the lift cover.

Poot, if you don't ever use draft mode you could simply remove the damaged plunger shaft and still have no effect on the position mode.

Hmmm...
(let me be careful how I word this)

Again not questioning the fact that you MAY have 100 times, or a 1000 times (or more) the experience I have.

But both of them springs help push the pump control leaver forward to some extent when the lift leaver is in the up position.

I DO NOT have what it takes to argue the point.

But I do respectfully say, that in my mind, I am not sure that is right.

But for sure one day I will know.

Both of them springs press the control rod forward at all times to some extent, unless the lift control leaver is pushed to the downward position.

But then again I may be totally off my rocker...

(Only her hairdresser knows for sure)

I'm not smart enough to see the problem because I don't know what it should look like.

I do have various top cover parts in my collection of spare used parts. Tell me exactly what you need and I'll take pics of what I have that seems like meets your description.

It dosent look like it would be to hard to fabricate a piece to weld onto there.

You will probably have to have some good heat on the yoke to get the threads to free up though.

The small piece with the spring inside the cover may can be straightened with an anvil and a hammer.
