I pulled the PTO so I could change out the relief valve & it made it alot easier. "Remove 4 bolts & slider out.. simple eh?" The valve I removed from the tractor is identical to the one in the FO-4 manual... BUT, the replacement I bought is different. Did I get the wrong one, or is this an updated version?

Just curious. Did you drain the oil or were you able to park it nose down and left the oil in before removing the PTO? I was wondering myself just how difficult it would be to do like you did and not drain the oil. My oil is new, and I should have replace the relief valve when I had it apart, but didn't think to do so.
Thanks.

Thanx GAJIM. Mike... you can do like Jim said, or just put a bucket under the shaft & unbolt it. About 2 1/2 gal of oil will come out, so be ready for it.

Mike: I parked mine nose down in a ditch when I pulled the PTO shaft to change the relief valve. GA Jim

Poot: It's an updated version. I put the same updated version in my '52 8N - cured my leakdown problem. GA Jim
