I just went out and started my 1948 8N and water was comming out near the water pump. It's cold (around 2above) and i was afraid the anti freeze was lacking but it wasn't. Once i reved her up it stopped. What could have caused this problem? never happened before. thanks for the help in advance. Rick

Rick, you sure it wasn't comeing out around a cold stiff radiator hose that aint quite tight? And appeares to be leaking at the pump. I had one last week that the hose was busted under the clamp, and when running it was spraying on the head. Looked as if I'd blowed a head gasket. John

It didn't seem to be comming out around the hose . Actually looked like it was at the shaft of the pump. What baffaled me was when i reved her up it stopped. I will check the hose out in the morning though. Thanks .

If it's actually leaking around the shaft, the bearing's probably going, and you will want to address it before complete failure sends the fan to eat the radiator.
