I agree, a chain would have worked better. I took my N to Minnesota and cleared the back yard of my Cabin a few years ago. The ground was sandy and trees like that one came out pretty easy. I would chain the trunk and pluck them out of the ground with the loader. If they were real stubborn I would hook the chain to the draw bar.

Every time dad stepped in front of or behind the tire I expected No.1 son to accidently run him over. OOPS, Sorry Dad! Most folks around here plow bigger stuff than that right back into the field, a few might run a bush hog over it first.
