Hello all. There is a little skidsteer on ebay which is a Rounder. Ebay is blocked at work so I think it was an L600??? 18hp Onan engine. Last nite it was at $1500.00. It wont'go over $3000 since that is the feller's buy it now price. Appears to be in good working condition. looking for any general experience with Rounder? parts availability? Onan engines? Opinions on what its worth? It would cost me around $400 to get it to my place.

My dad was a mechanic and he worked on a couple for local farmers. They were simple little loaders and fairly durable, as one of the farmers used it really hard to move manure every day. The motors appeared to be the weak point though, as both farmers had to have engine work done on their loaders. They are air cooled motors, so keeping the fins clean is a necessity. They are a cheap version of a Bobcat, using chains and sprockets to drive the wheels instead of hydraulic motors on each wheel. They are definitely lighter duty than a Bobcat, but at the time were a very affordable alternative. Don't know if parts are available, but from what I remember, there wasn't a whole lot of brand specific parts. Chains, couplers, and other replaceable items were generic. And of course, Onan parts are available from small engine parts stores. Don't know what they are worth, but definitely less than a comparable Bobcat. I'm sure they would be great for light duty work.

Hope this helps.
