When I first came to this site I was very impressed with the amount of knowledge one could obtain from it.
I have been a wrench puller for 45 years but I knew nothing of tractors.
I started out repairing my neighbor's N tractors and the N bug bit me.
So now I have one and I have gained so much from this forum.
All my other N friends see me as a real N mechanic thanks to all of you here.
N's Forever Ya'll

I fully agree that this site is very beneficial to us newbies. I did not know what a Funk conversion was until I came across this tractor. It has been so much fun, that I have started restoration on another. It keeps me out of the bar and mostly broke.

OK! I have a 850 (1956)...what am I missing by not having a (N) Series???? Post pages are longer and more interesting??? Have a 1951 chevy truck,,,but not that old a tractor! Should I pick me up a 51 series ford tractor? Funny though...my 850 tractor starts faster than My 2000 Ford F-150 truck...go figure!

You say you got bit by the N bug - but you only have ONE N? (grin)

Yep - this is a great site with tons of info and experience, hang around and help out when you can (wrench turners are always in high demand here).

Watch out!

Admitting to knowing something about these tractors can get a guy in trouble from time to time!

The same holds true for most motorized vehicles.
You learn to only tell good looking female motorized vehicle owners of your skills. (HA HA)

Boy, I don't know about that either! My son is in a community college Auto Tech class, and his GF of a couple of weeks is sure keeping him busy with HER vehicle. It's OK, though, I've known her for a long time, and she seems like a KEEPER.

I know better I just wanted to throw that in.
Glad to hear your son's girl is a keeper.
Maybe she can learn to work on N's.
