Pat I'm sorry! I had a senior moment I think. I believe your talking about the "air cleaner" pipe that extends through / and above the hood.If so they can be found.

The air breather you discribe, (tube through the hood), was an optional thing from the factory. This let cleaner air into the carb for farmers that were complaining about the dirt/dust from their fields getting under the hood and into the carb. I also have this air intake on my 44 2N.
If I read you right, what you need is the cap that fits on the "through the hood" pipe??? Is this correct?? If so you will probably have to search for a used one, as I have not seen this for sale new. GB

Never saw or heard of one, original or homemade. What is an "INTAKE STACK COVER"?

On 9N & 2N the orignal factory air intake to the air cleaner is under the on the right side of the battery where they collected all the dirt. There was a different top made for to fit the air cleaner with a pipe that you cut a about a 2" hole in the hood for it to go up thru and was about 10" above hood with a metal cover with screen bottom on top. That saved a lot of engines from dirt when the tractors were regulary used in working ground in the fields as the Ford being the big or possibly only tractor on up to 160 acre farms. I fave never tried it but the intake stack cover for an H Farmall is very close in size and also of the same type. The top off a 5000 Ford oil bath air cleaner may also be able to be made to work.
