Well, I am in the process of collecting all the parts I"ll need to put a 1944 2N, that is in pretty good shape over all, back to as close to original and sound a machine as possible. In the hunt for good used parts I happened across an aluminum dash and steering gear. It was cracked pretty bad, but it was still neat to see one in person. I just won two ebay bids, and am waiting for those parts to show up. I have to admit, this is a lot of fun. I hope I can do as good of a job with this 2N as I did with my 51 8N. I"ll post some pictures once the snow melts a little more.

Keith

I'm parting out a 9N with aluminum dash and trans cover. It's an early design with the starter button on the dash rather than on the trans cover, so you'll probably want a newer one to match your '44.

I've seen two of them on ebay in the last hour.

This parting out project is going pretty slow because I had some emergency surgery a month ago and I'm still not back up to speed. If you have specific needs, feel free to email me. If I have the parts you're looking for maybe we can make a deal. Otherwise the parts will go on ebay as I get the time and strength to proceed.

The good thing about aluminum is it can generally be easily repaired with welding. So if something is cracked just have it welded up and your good to go.

Kieth,
If you want to put it back to original and need a Magneto for it, I have a good one I no longer have a use for.

I have a lot of parts left over from a 9N/2N tractor I have built. I still have all of the rear end parts from the tranny back. E-mail is open

Don't know if you're looking for anything in particular, but there are a couple of eBay stores that currently have used N parts for sale, some at good prices. I've found (and bought) some good stuff in these. Search under:

1) intauctionservices (his store is Internet Auction Service of Indiana) He's running some "Buy it Now" stuff on sale right now.

2) naphooch (his store is called Rusty's Used Tractor Parts)
