Greetings all. Just got in from outside. I put in a new radiator, fuel tank, sediment bowl, fuel line, radiator hoses and thermastat and adjusted my sector shafts. Let me tell you;I had a nightmare with the radiator. I got it from YT and when I got it in, I put the hood back on and the friggin rad nect was about 1/2" below the hood. Had to take all back apart again to space it a little higher. Once I did that, put the hood back on and the fan blades were dangoursly close to the lower rad hose. So, take them apart again and lowered the one side a little and put it all back together. Finally worked after some intimidation. Has anyone else had this problem with aftermarket rads?

Their nothing wrong with negative feed back may be the folks here will read it and change the brand of rad they sell it becomes a problem. I would like to know the name on the box and if it told were it was made just so I kin stay away from that brand if it gits to much neg. feedback. I was over at a guy house this week and he had a rad he got from here brand name RASH or sum’n like that it looked good could not find were it was made had not been installed yet. It is a know fact to some the European made rads are the best in the aftermarket, Ireland is were they are made and that’s the one I stock. I do not have to count beans so I keep the best I kin find and sell at a price I kin make a bean or 2. Even then the best kin be a headache. Competition has ruin’ent the parts business to sum degree and the bean counters only know the bottom line. One of my suppliers reps stopped by a few weeks ago that only carried the better rads and seamed to be proud of the fact that they now offer a rad made in china at a more completive price, I wuz not impressed. I can remember when rads fit like they spose to and could only be brought at a rad shop and you paid big bucks fer’em. Now you kin git’em at enny corner parts store its pot luck on the fit but at good price. Its rare I pull one out of the box that does not have sum damage (automotive rads) either twisted of a fitz all that I have to figger out how to modify to fit. I have had’em come in and they look like a tow motor fork wuz ran rite thru’em.

I dont see a brand name on the box. It does say in big bold letters, "MADE IN CHINA". Part #8N8005ECON

Well it’s a tuff call to make as to whither it’s the rad are the tractor but it seams the china made ones do have issues. I have never installed a chinezz made one so dunno, I spec I would box it up and as fer a refund or a better made one not from china. Let the bean counters figger it out. I spec if I thought it wuz a ell fit’n rad I could not bring myself to do a shim job know’n that it may come back and bitt me and they bit the pocket book rite hard. I hope you kin werk this issue out wif the folks at YT so they kin fund this board.

it sure sound like you forgot to put something on radiator. there three part that a lot of the people forget to put on. you get them at the ford dealer, tsc, and any home farm discount store.. and must be put on and if you can't find them you make it they call radiator pad the green fuzz one go the top. the two rubber go on the bottom the all most 1/2 inch thick so that should give you that room ... good luck

John, replaced rad the same way it came out. As a matter of fact, I replaced the rubbers on the bottom of the rad and installed a new hood pad.The rubber I got from YT was no where near 1'2". Only about 1/8"

Did you use 6 blade or 4 blade? My 6 blade fits fine. As for the radiator, had to beat the hood opening down just to get the radiator cap on.

Had the same problem with mine. After a lot of work finally got it in but the blades are about 1/4 inch from radiator. However a miss is as good as a mile and it works fine.

Good to know I am not the only one. LOL. My old radiator is still in decent shape. It had a small pin hole leak from one of the cores. I think I will get it redone and keep it for a spare.

If the upper and lower tanks are servicable on your old radiator, you can get the old radiator recored at a local radiator shop.
