Had some stone delivered to my little (16 acres) farm/hunting camp yesterday. The driver had a bit of trouble, a tree fell on the cab of his truck and the whole load dumped in one spot, about 10 tons. Soooo, I went back today and put the blade on the 8N and worked the pile down into the lane. By the time I was done it didn't look half bad. Then I worked over the rest of the lane, about 1/4 mile's worth, to repair damaged done during (a very wet) hunting season. Then I decided to work over the clearing where my cabin is. All in all, the little tractor earned it's keep today. And I had a ton of fun to boot.

Tree didn't hit the driver. It did mess up his truck pretty bad, one door had to be replaced, ripped off the mirror on the driver's side, caved in the cowling a bit and there was some collateral damage when the truck tipped up as the load transferred aft and started to go over the tailgate (top-hinged), taking the load cover with it. Took us a while to get the truck back down on all it's wheels. Good news is that he drove it away and no one was hurt. More good news, he's willing to come back with more stone.

Seems like one of those stories with a "rest of the story" Did the tree at least hit fall and hit the cab in a good location? Glad the N did its part. LOL
