I've decided to sell our old 9N, and I'm asking advice here for an approximate value.
Everything works, decent paint, (Red & Gray) Good rubber, starts ok, new starter, battery (6 Volt) , and muffler. New points, cap and rotor. Lights work, 3 point (with 6' blade) is fine. Has a (palmer? I think) loader, with an extended 2-way bucket and separate pump/controls/resevoir. Good seat, steering wheel is original and in fair shape. PTO is fine. Brakes are weak but work.
Anyone have any advice on a starting price?
Thanks in advance.

Andy - I've seen them within the last few months, in Ohio, going for between $1200 and $2500, when in the condition that you describe. The upper priced ones are the ones that are advertised heavily, and the lower priced ones are pretty much word of mouth. Overall, no real significant differences in the actual tractors. This may not help much, but I have found no such thing as a standard tractor price.

Andy..... ...GACK, I HATE guesstimating old tractor values because any private tractor sale is "negotiable". NO Blue-Book!!!

Any OLD running tractor in good condition (adding new points and battery is good) with good paint and good rear ag-bar tires probably worth $2000. FEL probably adds $500 to value. Rear blade probably worth $100 iff'n sold separately, iff'n included with tractor sale = bonus to buyer. Trailer Queen = $4000 to eager buyer..... ..Dell, the NON-authority

I hate to do this, but I finally have caught Dell WAY WRONG on something. Your 9N is only worth about $500 total. However, I'm in a really good mood and recently came upon a windfall, so I'll give you $1000 for it no questions asked, and another $1000 to deliver it. Act fast. ;Þ
