Dell, while your statement that all N engines are interchangeable is mostly true, there is an exception. And that is that the side mount blocks are not 100% interchangeable with the front mount blocks because there are bosses on the drivers (generator) side of the side mounts that are for the mounting of the gennys on those engines which are not there on the front mount blocks. And while you can use a side mount block with all the front mount accessories, the front mount blocks can not be used with the side mount accessories. Simple Eh?

Allen , that serial number is for a 1943 2N model. Ask all the questions you want to and ignore the people that have ego problems . It is intuitively obvious who those people are.

Dell, what does "intuitively obvious" mean? Does it mean that it should be "intuitively obvious" to a graduate engineer, or does it mean "intuitively obvious" to a "Hayseed" who had to drop out of school in the 8th grade to help support the family? Respectfully, James
