need to clean my gas tank i was told to use play sand or small gravel is this true or is there something else that works better

3/4" - WASHED gravel(2 hands full) + Kerosene or Diesel...Like 007's martini---shake vigorously.

CHAIN !!! or machine nuts The play sand will clog the filter screen forever. It will never get it all out. Do a search on gas tanks and there is a lot of informationon lining them . I bought a new one--- $$$ but couldnt salvage the old one.
