These tractors were built to plow! They will pull a 14" 2-bottom plow all day long. The Ferguson draft control was designed specifically for this type of work (along with cultivating and planting). They do not have the power to pull a 3-bottom plow though.

You need an over run coupler on your pto output shaft to run a bush hog safely . It is a one way clutch that allows your bush hog to spin faster than the pto shaft when you slow down or stop . With out an ORC the force of the bush hog spinning would back feed the rear end gears and force the tractor foward no matter how hard you pushed on the brakes.

The clutch they are talking about is an over-running (sprague ) clutch for the PTO. With the PTO engaged the PTO only turns when the clutch it engaged but with the inertia of the brush hog the brush hog will drive the tractor forward while the brushhog is coasting down even with the foot clutch disengaged --- A must have !!!! SAFETY First!!!!
