Hi. Still dead in Missouri. After a long reconstruction of the distributor, I find that the camshaft gear isn't turning when I turn engine over. I am pulling the timing cover and expect to find the camshaft gear needs to be replaced. My 9N is a '41 model. Hope my model is late enough that the timing gear bolts onto the camshaft, and not pressed on! Anybody know if there is an on line parts store that has the aluminum alloy camshaft/timing gear for sale? Thanks, Chuck. PS. This has gotten really personal, I AM GOING TO WIN, thanks.

I live north of KC Metro about 50 miles. Mailing address is Lawson, MO, but I live a lot closer to Polo, MO. Live almost on the county line between Ray County and Caldwell County. Hope it quits raining, eh? Thanks, Chuck

Yeah, can't very well cut hay or expect it to dry out the way it's been and some of my grass is starting to lay down. Maybe I can coincide getting fixed with drying out!

If I am reading it right the Master Parts Catalog shows the press on gear from 1939 through 1942. It's possible that yours was upgraded at some point.
I would try Don at Just 8N's for the part.

I've been watching your story for a while now — glad you've developed a winning attitude. From here out all it takes is patience. The first time you take the long way back to the barn after a trouble free day of work, it makes it all worthwhile.
And there are lots of other things to use for target practice.

N — joy.
