I don't post often here, mostly a piece of advice on an "N" now and then. I've got a wonderful father in law who has had cancer and numerous treatments (chemo and radiation) over the past two to three years and is in the last stages of life as we know it. He retired after forty years at the local paper mill as a millwright and had a good retirement for about six years . He and the wife celebrated fifty years together last September!! We found out at Christmas that on June 25th last year the Doc gave him 6-12 months. He's been like a second daddy to me since I lost my daddy in July,"91. Thanks for prayers and concerns from everyone. I know this is a bit long ,but I feel better already knowing the fine folks on this forum have a lot of respect and family values in them. God bless you all. Thanks, Phil, owner of the old 9N3667.

Thanks, fellows for the replies and prayers!! My wife and I went to see them last night and took them some of a local restaurant's excellent fried chicken(the Colonel's got nothing on this chicken!). He said Hello in a raspy voice, (glad to see me, had been almost two weeks on my part). He was able to eat about two good bites and that's all he could do. My thoughts and prayers go to my mother in law because she does about 95%of his care at this time. They've got a nurse coming in a few days a week to help, with hospice care in the near future. Thanks again and God bless you all !

Phil,

I am sure that your father-in-law already knows what you think of him. To him, that is all that really matters. Take care of yourself and best wishes to your family. John,PA
