I have 12.4-28 rear tires on my 8n with no fluid in them. I can't find anywher on the tires or in my shop manual what the air pressure should be. Does anybody know what they should be inflated to? Also, are these standard sized tires for the tractor? They are new and came with the tractor when I bought it. Thanks for the help!

Like the others have said "No big deal"! Too much air and you loose traction and she rides rough. Too little air and your tires scrub more on blacktop or concrete and wear faster. Now the front ones, more air she steers easier. Ain't no race car so don't have to worry about heat build up. Just try to keep them somewhat equal

Arron..... ..the original standard 8N ag-bar rear tires are spec'd to be 10-28 on 10" rims; which have been re-sized by gov't bureaucrats to size 11.2-28. 12.4-28 is NOT standard but airpressure is airpressure; watch the sidewall bulge. According to the N-Owners Manual pg-32, 10-28 4-ply max 14psi. Normal is 12psi.

My eazy starting 8N has non-std 14.9-24 ag-bar 6-ply on non-std 24-13" rims. Tire pressure is still 12psi. Why? 'cuz that is what is recommended for the weight of the tractor (2460#) Don't matter iff'n yer tires have "water" or not, airpressure is tractor weight related..... ..Dell

"Around" 15 - 18 psi. You want the tires to be full but to have a slight bulge in the sidewall.

Getting too technical here.

Do your tires sag on level ground?

If they do put some air in them.

Back off and look at them.

Do they look right?

Don't need to over do it.

I usually don't worry about mine even when they are a tad low, till I git around to pumping them up.

Never caused me a problem.

12 p.s.i. regardless of whether they have water or not. If full of water, make certain you check the pressure ONLY with the valve stem at the top (12 o'clock position)
