Hi All---thought I would post back results of my original post of 3/20---I ended up taking the governor apart and found flat spots on the 4 steel balls. The races looked pretty good so I just popped in 4 new balls and put the governor back on. I also lengthened the long rod that runs from the bottom of the hand throttle rod to the governor to put more force on the short governor to carburetur rod. My engine now idles down to a slow 400-500 RPM and stays there, allowing me to fine tune the idle air mixture screw to Max Rpm's. I made a few runs up the hill by my house to put a load on her for final main fuel screw adjustment and she is now running good!! Low idle, no hesitation throttling up to high speed---I think its good to go. Best of all, I didn't have to take the carb apart. A new gasket and some permatex gasket seal fixed the oil leaking out the bottom of governor too. Thanks for all of your suggestions on this one. Tim
