Iwent to an estate auction today and a Oliver 44 (unknown year model, estimated at 1957) sold for $6200.00. Was in good running condition but not anything special by any means. Deceased owner was a retired mechanic, so it was probably in good operating condition. I know nothing at all about these tractors but that seemed excessively high to me for this tractor. Any Oliver owners around here got any thoughts on this price?

From what I understand, the 44s and 55s are highly sought after and bring a pretty penny. I wouldn't mind a 55 :-)

Would you believe that is a good ball park price for a good running Super 44 Oliver. Ya they sell high and for the most part are very close to a Farmall cub. That type of price is why I don't own one but I sure would love to have one but they sell for to much for my back pocket

currently at $117600 AND reserve not met yet!

Those JD guys must be nuts.

Even a serial number 1 9N (S/N 9N1 )would not get that much.....

Ever noticed how many you've seen in commercials? For many assistant directors all that green and white art deco sheet metal just screams "old-fashioned country life."

My '40 9N would fetch that price (...if it had $116,600 stashed under the seat). ;-)
