I just got my tractor running after two years and I cant quite remember how the draft control works. I need to grade my gravel driveway, the lever needs to be down , right?

Preciate your help Dell. Its kinda like riding a bike, as the day goes by its all coming back. I think Im getting pretty smooth. Ill have to wait until I drive my truck out. Fortunatly my wife is out of town I have plenty of time to fix it before her car bounces around on it

Rand..... ...draggin' dirt is DRAFT, the "flush-lever" is horizontal for plowing draft. Up for position control for brushhoggin'. Howsomevers, you might need to fine-tune yer gradin' with position control for smooth finish after ya done all the hardwork..... ...Dell

thanks, I was just outside playing and it will definatly take some practice to used to again

whats the best way to check how well the draft control is working. I read about a test for 2ns in the archives but didnt see a 8n specific. It seems like it is digging pretty hard

Ramd..... ...its gonna take some 'sprimentin' to gittchur diggin' draft satisfactory. Try SHORTIN' the turnbuckle toplink for less bite. And while the draft "sensitivity" can be checked and adjusted, it generally ain't worth-itt for shortterm job like yer driveway. Surprizingly enuff, 2N draft and 8N draft is the same cat painted differently..... ..Dell
