I lost one of the spring clips that holds the distributor cap onto my front mount 8N distributor. I've search the tractor supply sites I know about and tried TSC, with no luck. Does anyone know where I can get new spring clips without having to buy a new distributor?

Did you try your New Holland dealer(if you have one nearby)?

that part number says its for the newer 8N's with the side distributor. I have a front mount. Is it the same part?

You may have to check the junk yards.I found that the chevy 6 clips fit the 42 ford v8 dist. with a little thinning .7RA prefix sounds like 6 cyl ford part.

It is part # 9N12144 (clamp) for the front mount according to my book. Didn't go looking for it - hope you can find it - HTH.

Bruce was right. Just 8N's had the clip. He just had the wrong part number. Just 8N's carries the clips for both the front mount and side mount distributors. Thanks to all who responded.
