Pushman..... ...yep, bad seals and OVERFILLED hydro-tranny oil. Heres the deal, yer trumpet mouth mounted rearaxle bearings and seals are "splash lubed by the whirrin' of the diffy by an "oil-slinger". Iff'n yer hydro-tranny is OVERFILLED yer weaksister axleseals can't stop the excess splashed diffy-tranny oil from leakin' out and greasing yer brake shoes. Changing them 9N's 14" brakeshoes ain't no picknic, so heres what I'd do. Buy two cans of BRAKE-CLEANER ($5, cheap) with straw and HOZE-DOWN the insides of the brakes (thru adjuster?, brake-lip seal?, figger it out) a full can each side. Then pull the BOTTOM bolt of the 6"-dipstick roundplate and let OVERFILL drain out down the side of yer tranny overnite. Now, mark yer dipstick with new max "FILL" level. Remember to adjust the brakeshoes, $10 beats pullin' brakeshoes, eh?..... .Dell
