I know, you just replaced the points. Nonetheless, if you haven't yet done so, you should check their operation through the following procedure, which takes only a few seconds and doesn't involve disconnecting or connecting anything.

Throw the ignition switch without cranking. You should see approx. 3 amps discharge.

No discharge? There is an open somewhere in the points circuit, likely in the points themselves, or the points are open. And, on an engine of this type, the motor will almost always come to rest with the points closed. Even so, you can crank the motor to make sure.

Normal discharge? Crank the motor. The ammeter should flutter as the points open and the current flow drops to zero, then the points close and the current flow resumes.

No flutter? The points are stuck closed or there is a short somewhere.

See what a useful device the little ammeter is? And yet people hardly ever consult it when the tractor won't run...
