Went and looked at the tractor today. Not a 53 Jubilee, didn't have the right emblem in grill for that. I'm guessing a 54 NAA. Still a nice tractor. The exhaust manifold was leaking but the engine ran fine, the trans was smooth and quiet, the hydraulics worked good,(he had a box attached to the 3 pt hitch), and 3 new tires. One rear gonna need replacing soon. It's been brush painted a darker grey. I didn't see any oil spots under it. Probably well worth the price. The owner's out of town for a couple of weeks so maybe I can figure a way to come up with the money and be able to keep the 8N also. Thanks to all of you who posted back, and I concur to all of you. You can't have too many tractors and the NAA probably the best. Just something about the little 8N, though. Thanks again, guys. Pete

I think you'll be very happy if you can get it purchased. That's a good price for the tractor. I paid quite a bit more for one in only slightly better shape.

Pete,
I went back and read your post and the answers on page 2.
An NAA with a fresh engine and 3 new tires for $2000 is a good price. If you can swing the money buy it and run it for a while. You may like it or you may just prefer that nimble little N. Then sell the one that doesn't suit your needs. Keep in mind that wheels and tres will interchange between your 8N and a NAA so you could switch and keep the best rubber before you sold. Maybe come out ahead $ that way.
It's almost as much fun watching another guy get a new tractor as it is to get one yourself.
So keep us posted on the deal.

Ifn, you don't get it, and it is in NW GA and not too far from me, I think I would be glad to have it.
