OK - turkey hunting is finished and I just bought a compression checking guage for this weekend. The guage came with three different fittings for (I assume) different sized sparkey holes. I read on another web-site that a slick trick is to use a brass "s" fitting so that there is no fighting the guage's hose in the tight spot between the wire harness and block. What size is the 8n spark plub hole (so that I can buy a brass "s" before getting up into the country). Is there anything else I need to know before emnarking on this journey? Test results to be posted Sunday. Oh....no turkeys.

I figured I'd just get it wrong, so I took a spark plug & the compression gauge to the hardware store. I got a brass elbow that had a male end the same size as the spark plug & a female end that I screwed the hose from the compression gauge into....before I left the hardware store.
