With a Funk conversion does the tach in a late 8N read correctly?

I agree with what Ken Crisman said. The pulley should be sized to keep the same governor speed as the stock 8N.

Absolutely they'll read correctly . Depending on what funk you have , the conversion kit came with a governor off an 8n with a pulley instead of the gear . I have a 1952 8n Funk conversion with the original 6cyl OHV engine & 8n governor . I'm interested in what Funks are still operating . My email is callj.j.s@verizon.net . I'd like to know more about yours . Check your serial number on the aluminum dash extension . Don't sand the dash too much or you'll sand the numbers off . God bless, Ken

Lash..... ..I doubt it, the 6-cyl Funk engine governor is NOT like the 4-cyl governor that cable drives the 8N tach. You can probably get electric "hot-rod" tachs that will fit the 8N's proofmeter hole that will NOT BE CABLE driven like the proofmeter..... ...Dell
