I'm not sure how to repolarize a 6V one wire generator on a 9N. I'm not sure this thing is putting out. I do see the needle move to the minus when cranking it so the ammeter works.

reddoggie..... ..this has been addressed many times in the archives, but for you special, the 3rd-brush 1-terminal 6-volt genny is polarized by "arc-sparkin' the 2-terminal roundcan cut-out relay on yer steering column under the battery tray. (hint: skinny wires, NOT THUMB-THICK starter cables)

I use pair of pliers handles, you can use bailin'wire or barb-wire. ENGINE OFF!!! Just arc-spark the 2-terminals to re-polarize yer cut-out and yer genny to make them compatible with yer battery polarity. You can re-polarize as many times as it takes to make you feel warm and fuzzy.

Remember, yer 6-volt tractor came POSITIVE GROUND from the factory..... ..Dell, the spark-less

Thanks, Dell. I feel special now. I saw a lot on 8N's and 2 wire but none on 1 wire.
