I used an engine hoist and wrapped chains around the trumpet to lift. Then put wood blocks underneath.

alaskenus..... ..I always jack under the diffy, and then jack-stand the necessary axle trumpet where necessary. Gittin' the 300# rear tire off'n ain't eazy so you want the tire just clear of the ground.

Tip: even iff'n its flat, loosen yer lugnuts and drive yer tractor in figger-eights to loosen the rusty stuff. You won't hurt yer tire. 'course you could pumper full-o-air and that will generally last longenuff to drive in figger-eights. Iff'y you don't figger-eights, yer gonna be cussin' ..... .pottymouth Dell

Right under the right axle housing near where the fender bolts on.

...and get a jack stand under it before you start working on it. Harbor freight has some good big, tall jackstands that work just fine.
