Ijust was at local TORO lawn dealer picking up some tuneup parts for my lawn tract as I was waiting I looked down where they park some new and used kabotas, toros, etc there to my suprise was a N tracor wih a vtype snow blower attached to it. I paid my bill and walked down by the road, as got closer I reliased it was a 2N or 9n when I got right up to it I saw that it had a late model 8n eng it seemed not bad cond the hood sheetmeatal had a few holes a bit rough however the rest seemed ok includig the v type snow blower it also had the sherman leaver mounted on the side by the clutch I walked back to the parts counter and asked how much the owner then said it was a 8N and that it ran well and everthing worked I corrected him and told him it was a 8N motor and a 2 or 9N he gave a bit of funny look as if to say what do you no, then piped up and said that they were asking to get about 1500.00 for it or best offer I just bought a vtype blower for my 8n 2wks ago paid 200.00 I have seen them for more plus the sherman is got to be worth a few bucks, tires front and back seemed better than average by the sound of the owner, tractor and blower coud be picked up for 1200 or 1300$ if any one is interested you can email me I will pass on the name of the dealer I live just north of Toronto about 50 miles. By the way thanks for all the info over the past year I have learned quite a bit and have saved time and $ should sart painting my 8N plus backblade, snowblower, forklift, boompole over next month or 2 or 3 THANKS ONT RICK

I went to see tractor this morning spoke to the owner of lawn and equip dealer, he indicate that yes that it was a 2N or 9N and that the org. eng had a crack in the block. The org owner provided a 8N block, the lawn equip dealer rebuit complete eng many new parts gen, starter, carb, clutch, etc apparently org owner lost interest. I asked to hear it run when he turned on ign it started on about 2nd or 3rd crank let it run for about 15 to 20 min maitained approx 40 psi oil, wish mine did. I picked up the blower on the 3point seemed fine 400lbs 4feet back, it is the same as the one posted this past winter in N magazine. There was an exhaust leak minor prb. I ended up buying the old block and many extra parts wife gave a funny look when I came home, your question re american or candian yes it is can. loonies I am not sure if I am allowed to post a dealers name on this fourm any one interested you can email me I will pass on the name of the dealer to you THANKS ONT RICK
